Luke 19:12-27

12 He said: “A man of noble birth went to a distant country to have himself appointed king and then to return. 13 So he called ten of his servants and gave them ten minas.[a] ‘Put this money to work,’ he said, ‘until I come back.’

14 “But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him to say, ‘We don’t want this man to be our king.’

15 “He was made king, however, and returned home. Then he sent for the servants to whom he had given the money, in order to find out what they had gained with it.

16 “The first one came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned ten more.’

17 “‘Well done, my good servant!’ his master replied. ‘Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.’

18 “The second came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned five more.’

19 “His master answered, ‘You take charge of five cities.’

20 “Then another servant came and said, ‘Sir, here is your mina; I have kept it laid away in a piece of cloth. 21 I was afraid of you, because you are a hard man. You take out what you did not put in and reap what you did not sow.’

22 “His master replied, ‘I will judge you by your own words, you wicked servant! You knew, did you, that I am a hard man, taking out what I did not put in, and reaping what I did not sow? 23 Why then didn’t you put my money on deposit, so that when I came back, I could have collected it with interest?’

24 “Then he said to those standing by, ‘Take his mina away from him and give it to the one who has ten minas.’

25 “‘Sir,’ they said, ‘he already has ten!’

26 “He replied, ‘I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what they have will be taken away. 27 But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them—bring them here and kill them in front of me.’”

14 「他本國的人卻憎恨他，就差派特使在他背後去，說：『我們不要這個人做王統治我們。』

15 「當他接受了王位[c]回來的時候，就吩咐把這些曾領了銀子的奴僕叫來，要知道他們做生意賺了多少。 16 第一個前來說：『主啊，你的那一百銀幣[d]，已經賺了一千[e]。』

17 「主人對他說：『做得好，好奴僕！因為你在最小的事上忠心，你就有權掌管十個城。』

18 「第二個上前來說：『主啊，你的那一百銀幣[f]，已經賺了五百[g]。』

19 「主人也對這個人說：『你掌管五個城吧！』

20 「另一個上前來說：『主啊，請看，你的那一百銀幣，我一直保存在手巾裡。 21 我怕你，因為你是個嚴厲的人，不是你存放的，你提取；不是你播種的，你收穫。』

22 「主人對他說：『你這惡奴！我要憑你的口定你的罪。你既然知道我是個嚴厲的人，不是我存放的，我提取；不是我播種的，我收穫， 23 那麼你為什麼沒有把我的銀子交給錢莊呢？這樣我回來的時候，可以連本帶利收回來。』 24 於是他對站在旁邊的人說：『把那一百銀幣從他那裡拿走，給那個有一千的。』

25 「他們說：『主啊，他已經有一千銀幣了！』

26 「我告訴你們：凡是有的，還要賜給他；那沒有的，連他有的也將從他那裡被拿走。 27 不過我的這些敵人，就是不要我做王統治他們的人，把他們帶到這裡來，在我面前殺掉！」
